The MND Association directs its funds into two major areas;
1. The support of research into the disease and its management.
2. Patient care. This includes lending out to people with MND specialised equipment which is not available from statutory sources but which may greatly enhance the quality of life of someone coping with the illness. In N.Ireland all such equipment is funded by this Branch.
